Russell, Phillip Charles Maurice

Son of Charles Russell and Lucy Caroline Russell née Crocker Spouse of Elsie May Russell née Fitzgerald of 602 London Road, Ashford, Middlesex

Born 6th August 1901 at Newington, (Southwark), Surrey Tram conductor at Fulwell Tram Depot (LUT), Fulwell, Middlesex

Aircraft Rigger (No 842512), RAF 904 Barrage Balloon Sqd. Flight Engineer, Royal Air Force (Auxiliary Air Force) Served on a Lancaster Bomber which crashed at Schenkelstrasse, Düren,,Germany during a bombing mission on 16th November 1944 when he was aged 43 years

Buried at Düren, Germany with his crew and was reburied on 1st October 1946 at Venraij British Offical Military Cemetery, Holland (Plot 5 Row C Comrade Graves 5-8)

Listed on the Fulwell Bus Garage War Memorial 1939-1945 In Memory of Comrades Who Were Killed By Enemy Action
